Overview

Set in the summer of 1945, a group of eight children freed from the Gross-Rosen concentration camp find temporary refuge in an abandoned palace, overseen by Hanka, a fellow survivor. As they attempt to reclaim their lost childhood, a new terror emerges. Starving Alsatians, abandoned by the SS and now wild, stalk the surrounding forests. Their desperate hunt for food leads them to besiege the palace, plunging the children into a fight for survival that reignites the trauma of their past. The struggle becomes a haunting reminder of their harrowing experiences.
