Overview

Mabel Longhetti feels isolated and yearning for connection in her marriage to Nick, a construction worker in Los Angeles. Her emotional instability becomes apparent, particularly in social situations, alarming Nick enough to seek help. He ultimately decides to have her institutionalized for six months, believing it’s in the best interest of their family.
