Overview

In 1942 Stuttgart, the Nazis have forcibly removed Jewish families from their homes in towns and villages. Two Jewish children, born in Germany, escape the horrors of the regime after witnessing the murder of their family. They are guided by Gisella, a member of the Lebensborn program, which aims to create a so-called Master Race under the SS.
