My Dead Friend Zoe

Overview

Merit, a U.S. Army veteran grappling with PTSD, finds herself haunted by the memory of her late friend and fellow soldier, Zoe. Following her deployment in Afghanistan in 2016, she engages in group therapy to cope with her trauma. However, when her grandfather Dale, a former Lieutenant Colonel, is diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Merit takes on the responsibility of caring for him. Through this journey, she uncovers deeper insights about her family and herself, ultimately finding the strength to confront her inner demons and seek healing.
