Waiting for Heaven

Overview

Eflatun, a talented miniature artist in 17th century Istanbul, is forcibly taken to the vizier's mansion. There, he learns of the imminent execution of Danyal, an Ottoman prince leading a rebellion. Tasked with creating a Western-style portrait of the condemned prince for identification purposes, Eflatun embarks on a challenging journey to Anatolia. Along the way, he encounters Leyla, a spirited girl who joins him on his quest. Together, they navigate a world filled with peril and unexpected emotions, as their adventure unfolds against a backdrop of political turmoil and personal discovery.
