Overview

A young doctor on a much-needed break is shot in the head, leaving police baffled without any leads or motives. Inspector Al Gordon (John Alexander) assigns officers to the hospital, including Fred Rowan (Richard Conte), a detective with a military medical background, who poses as an intern. As he navigates the chaotic hospital environment, Rowan uncovers a relentless atmosphere where interns grapple with exhaustion, financial strain, and the risk of personal and professional ruin.
