Overview

A group of high school outcasts in Hawaii finds camaraderie through their innovative new teacher. Inspired to participate in a science fair, they set out to design and construct a solar-powered car. Their ambitious project earns them a chance to compete in the prestigious 1990 World Solar Challenge in Australia. As they navigate personal challenges and forge friendships, the misfits rally together, hoping to prove that teamwork and creativity can lead to extraordinary achievements against all odds.
