Overview

Pinky, a light-skinned African American woman, returns to her grandmother's Southern home after completing her nursing degree up North. She confesses to her grandmother that she has been living as a white woman during her time at school. Complicating matters, Pinky has developed feelings for a young white doctor, who remains unaware of her true racial identity.
