The Absent One

Overview

In 2014 Denmark, ex-cop Carl Mørck, now leading Department Q, is approached by a distraught father seeking answers about the brutal murder of his twin sons from 1994. Despite a local man having confessed and been sentenced, Carl and his partner Assad uncover unsettling inconsistencies in the case. Their investigation reveals a tangled web of deceit, suggesting that the truth behind the tragic event is far more complex than it appears. As they dig deeper, they confront the haunting past that continues to cast a shadow over the present.
