Overview

The Dai-bosatsu Toge trilogy draws inspiration from Kaizan Nakazato's extensive, unfinished literary work. Set during the twilight of the Tokugawa Shogunate, the narrative revolves around Ryunosuke Tsukue, a swordmaster engulfed in nihilism. Unbound by morality, he ruthlessly eliminates anyone who crosses his path, irrespective of their character. The series explores themes of violence and existential despair, showcasing a complex protagonist whose actions challenge notions of good and evil in a tumultuous era.
