Overview

Dóra and Lili, twin sisters born in 1880 Budapest, enter the world as Thomas Edison unveils the electric lightbulb. Orphaned early, their lives diverge dramatically: one becomes a passionate, yet naïve anarchist, while the other embraces a life of luxury as a hedonistic courtesan. Fate reunites them aboard the Orient Express during a transformative New Year's Eve in 1899, forcing them to confront their differing ideologies and the choices that shaped their lives.
