Knife in the Head

Overview

While searching for his estranged wife at the youth center where she works, Hoffmann finds himself caught in a police sweep targeting radicals. In a chaotic encounter, he is shot in the head, resulting in severe brain trauma that leaves him partially paralyzed and mute. The police wrongly accuse him of assaulting an officer, while the radicals view him as a martyr of police violence. As Hoffmann undergoes a painful recovery in the hospital, he grapples with his fragmented memories and a desperate need to reconstruct the fateful night’s events.
