Overview

At 82, Lula embodies rebellion as an openly gay man navigating communist Poland. He organized underground gatherings and embraced drag culture, defying the oppressive norms of the 1980s. Now, as Poland's oldest drag queen, Lula faces the challenges of aging and a youth-focused society, haunted by the loss of a close friend to depression. Despite his loneliness, he immerses himself in the vibrant nightlife, searching for connection and meaning. Filmmaker Bogna Kowalczyk captures Lula's spirited journey through dynamic visuals and an infectious soundtrack, showcasing a life lived boldly and unapologetically.
