Overview

Ten-year-old Ryann Hale, driven by her desire for status, travels to Montana to spend time with her grounded grandfather, Bill Hale. During her stay, she forms a strong connection with Buck, a wolf-dog in peril from a ruthless dogsledder. Determined to rescue him, Ryann devises a plan that challenges her self-absorbed nature and reveals her capacity for compassion. As they navigate obstacles together, Ryann learns valuable lessons about friendship and bravery in the wilderness.
