Overview

Ben Beck finds his idyllic life in a small Virginia town upended when his first love, Ava Andersson, returns from Chicago following her mother's death. Now married and with a son, Ben is drawn back into a whirlwind of emotions as Ava rekindles their past romance, which ended abruptly years ago. This rekindling causes tension within his family, particularly with his teenage son Jessie, who feels overshadowed by his father's dreams and decides to pursue writing instead of football.
