In a quiet coastal village, a dark curse waits to unfold. According to local legend, centuries ago, a smuggler was caught red-handed by excise men during a delivery, thanks to a traitor among the villagers. He was swiftly hanged as a warning, but his widow was not just any woman; she practiced an ancient form of magic. The villagers, fearing her power, turned into a mob, torturing her with tar and feathers. Just before they could end her life, she unleashed a final curse on the land, vowing that love and life would wither away, and then she took her own life, spilling her blood into the earth.
