The Deputy

Overview
Set in the Arizona Territory, this classic western series features Henry Fonda in the role of Chief Marshal Simon Fry. Premiering on NBC in September 1959 and concluding in July 1961, The Deputy follows Fry as he navigates the challenges of law enforcement in a rugged landscape. Accompanying him is Deputy Clay McCord, portrayed by Allen Case, a reluctant gunman whose preference for peaceful resolutions often puts him at odds with the harsh realities of frontier justice.
