Overview
In the absurdly debauched world of 18th-century England, Matt Berry plays the King’s High Executioner, a pompous, self-styled gentleman who spends his leisure hours at an exclusive hangmen’s club. Alongside his hapless assistant, Rich Fulcher, he chases women, gambles for coin, and pursues fleeting happiness through a fog of drunkenness and general moral rot. Their rivalry for status and pleasure fuels endless schemes, brawls, and humiliations, all with a darkly comic, depraved flair.
