Overview
Cali, 2023, grapples with a dire environmental and social crisis stemming from severe water shortages, prolonged droughts, and the contamination of essential water sources. The city is starkly divided into two regions: a secure enclave for the affluent, protected by heavy security, and the “dry zone,” where the majority live without access to clean water. As desperation mounts, residents face rising violence, grim living conditions, and rampant corruption. The anticipation of impending rainfall ignites hope yet simultaneously stirs tension among the populace, altering the dynamics of survival in this fractured society.
