Title: The Surrogate Plot: Hooker encounters a woman grappling with her failing marriage at a bar, only for her to be tragically murdered soon after. Upon investigation, he discovers a disturbing link among this case and three others: all the victims had called a relationship therapist's radio show prior to their deaths. Believing the show holds vital clues, Hooker seeks the therapist’s assistance, but she hesitates, fearing negative publicity could deter future callers.
