Episode Overview
When D.C. and Grace meet with an equipment supplier at a motel, rumors of an affair spread quickly throughout Victory. Jean hears the gossip at the fabric store, while Libby picks it up during her school candy sale canvassing, and Wade is led to believe D.C. was with a prostitute. Concerned about the implications of favoritism for Grace at work, D.C. becomes frustrated, but Grace takes it in stride and starts her own rumors, claiming Russell is adopted, a local teacher has posed nude, and that Earl, the Kellys' neighbor, is burying bodies. The situation spirals when it turns out Russell really is adopted, and Mrs. Sheffield admits she was indeed the teacher in question, posing as an underwear model for a catalog. Eventually, the police arrive at Earl's house to investigate the backyard.
