Jack, now a trade union representative, finds himself bending his values to support his father's failing political ambitions. Meanwhile, Charlotte comes to the difficult conclusion that she must part ways with Jack and move out of their shared apartment as her mother's mental health worsens. Orla confronts a heart-wrenching choice when her brother arrives at her home, seeking refuge from the IRA.
