A photojournalist from the Office of War Information, known for her unpleasant demeanor and a prior acquaintance of McHale, arrives in Taratupa to cover a story on PT Boats and their crews. Due to a mix-up, McHale and his crew find themselves stuck with her and must devise a plan to shake her off their backs.
