Elkhorn S01E09 - The Roundup

Episode Overview

Theodore Roosevelt and his Elkhorn crew head out to the open range for their inaugural cattle roundup. This weeks-long task of sorting through cattle offers Roosevelt a chance to showcase his cowboy skills. However, as the seasons shift, his asthma flares up, and he suffers an injury from a fall. Undaunted, he rides with the other cowboys, herding and sorting their cattle through the Badlands. But excitement turns to dread when one cowboy is found dead. While it appears to be an accident, some men suspect foul play, especially with the arrival of the enigmatic Marquis de Morés. Meanwhile, Dow contemplates whether to return to Maine or stay in Medora to pursue a future with Rosie.
