Overview
In the year 2199, humanity has been devastated by the Gamilos, forcing survivors into underground cities as they face impending doom. With scientists predicting just a year left for the human race, young officers Susumu Kodai and Daisuke Shima discover a mysterious capsule from a ship that made an emergency landing on Mars. Inside, they find a glimmer of hope: the technology needed to defeat the Gamilos lies on Iscandar, located beyond the Magellan Galaxy. Tasked with this critical mission, the space battleship Yamato sets out, racing against time to save humanity.
