Episode Overview

Edina experiences a troubling dream where Saffron’s baby attempts to stab her, with the nightmare baby bearing the likeness of Saffron's midwife, who enjoys taunting Edina about her fears. Displeased with the idea of the baby, Edina's discomfort intensifies. Meanwhile, Saffron invites the baby's father, John Johnson, over to share her pregnancy news. Edina and Patsy, having set up a book club, find that their members are only interested in celebrity gossip rather than literature. Edina is thrilled to learn that John is black, viewing a mixed-race baby as the ultimate status symbol. When Saffron breaks the news to John, he suggests she announce her pregnancy immediately to avoid people assuming she has gained weight.
