Episode Overview
Human remains are discovered in a shallow grave, prompting PJ and Jo to clash once more. Jonesy is thrilled to join PJ on the case. Meanwhile, the rest of the Heelers are dispatched for door knocks, and Jo uncovers the body of an elderly woman in a nearby house, convinced that the two discoveries are linked. As they delve into the old woman's death, a young boy is found trespassing. PJ and Jonesy, investigating the remains, learn that they belong to a Mt Thomas woman who vanished a decade ago. When they question her boyfriend, he ultimately confesses to her murder. However, the plot thickens when Jo discovers a slip of paper with a phone number at the boyfriend’s home. This number leads back to the boy found at the older woman's house. It turns out he is the son of the deceased young woman, who was delivered by the midwife, the elderly woman. Tragically, the girl died during childbirth, and both the midwife and her boyfriend
