Soames persists in his search for Irene, eager to discover her whereabouts and who she’s with. Winifred is taken aback when her husband unexpectedly shows up. Meanwhile, Holly and Val share the news of their marriage and their plans to relocate to South Africa. Soames has wed Annette and, at last, welcomes a child into his life, but this joy is shadowed by the loss of someone dear to him.
