Episode Overview
Title: Destroyer Plot: Diver and Karen consider publishing a story about Jack’s relationship with Dianne, whom they suspect of being involved in drug dealings, unaware that she is actually an undercover officer. Jack doubts the case is resolved, believing the remains found might not belong to Kent. When Kent investigates LA Notorious, he discovers images of Jack and Dianne embracing. Thinking the hunt for the Hollywood Slayer is finished, Paco seeks to take charge of a new case. Soon after, both he and Jack learn the burnt body isn’t Kent’s, leading Jack to find photos of himself with Dianne on his car. Karen confronts Dianne about the relationship, oblivious to the ongoing threat. Meanwhile, Kent and Betty concoct an alibi for her during Jimmy’s disappearance; Kent plants Fly Brand cocaine in Jimmy's vehicle, while Betty leaves an auto shop bill at his house.
