In Camelot, the heroes are in a race against time to rescue Merlin. Eager to assist Emma, David sets off on a mission to find a magical artifact that Regina can use to reach the trapped sorcerer. However, Arthur insists on accompanying him, warning that the challenges ahead are more perilous than they realize. Meanwhile, Mary Margaret uncovers the fate of her former ally, Lancelot. Back in Storybrooke, Arthur seeks David's aid to track down a thief jeopardizing the safety of Camelot's citizens. Meanwhile, Emma enlists the conflicted Hook's help as she prepares to pull Excalibur from the stone.
