Alexis, Dex, and Galen arrive in Denver to a frenzy of reporters. With his legs immobilized, the king is quickly taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, Rita pretends to suffer from nightly headaches to dodge intimacy with Blake, prompting him to urge her to seek medical advice. Taking advantage of the situation, Joel impersonates Dr. Travers and visits the mansion. Blake shocks Alexis by revealing that Fallon is alive in California. Claudia inherits an oil well from Walter Lankershim and decides to move back in with the Carrington family. To keep Blake at bay, Rita laces his brandy with a barbiturate. From his hospital bed, Galen pledges to elevate Alexis to the most powerful woman in the world.
