After facing Alexis' relentless inquiries, Dana hesitantly reveals that her inability to conceive stems from a traumatic abortion she underwent years ago. Believing that Dana is trying to use Adam for her own gain, Alexis devises a plan to stop Dana from gaining legal rights as the mother of Adam's surrogate child. Meanwhile, Adam anonymously tips off the media about Skip Maitland's arrest for drug dealing involving Steven's football team, igniting a scandal that threatens Blake's campaign. Back from New York and burdened by guilt over his affair with Leslie, Jeff hopes to reconcile with Fallon. However, when Fallon catches Jeff and Leslie wrapped up in work, she assumes their marriage is doomed. Worried about his performance, Steven asks for Josh Harris to get a physical, but fearing the discovery of his drug use, Josh decides to leave the team.
