Episode Overview
After a decade, Judge Hardcastle receives a surprising visit from his brother Jerry. Naturally cautious, Hardcastle fears that Jerry, a known gambler, might soon be asking for financial help. Unbeknownst to Hardcastle, Jerry is entangled in debt to a dangerous man named Manny. In a bid to escape his financial troubles, Jerry decides to gamble on a high-profile murder trial involving model Tori Van Zandt, accused of killing her fiancé, Harland Eagle. With help from Judge Sheila Mooney, a friend of Hardcastle's, Jerry learns about the case. When private investigator Horace Munson provides Tori with an alibi and is later found dead, Hardcastle becomes involved. While investigating Munson's office, he uncovers that the investigator lied during the trial. To draw Tori out, Hardcastle hints at having new evidence, prompting her to attempt to kill him.
