Sharpe

Overview
Sean Bean stars as Richard Sharpe, a gritty fictional soldier navigating the Napoleonic Wars in this British television drama. Based on Bernard Cornwell's novels, the series follows Sharpe's daring exploits across battlefields. Produced by Celtic Films and Picture Palace Films for ITV, the show was filmed mainly in Turkey and the Crimea, with additional scenes shot in England, Spain, and Portugal. After its initial 1993–1997 run, ITV revived the series in 2006 with a co-production alongside BBC America, shifting focus to Sharpe's time in India. The two-part adventure *Sharpe's Challenge* aired in April 2006 on ITV, featuring more intense violence than earlier episodes.
