Episode Overview
Following a gathering with several bankers, President Pauai of Mahal retreats to his hotel suite with his top advisors to deliberate on the draft agreement presented by Mr. Portersen and others. Unfortunately, Pauai becomes embroiled in a scandal when he is framed for the murder of an attractive American woman after unknowingly consuming drugged champagne and spending the night with her. The next day, he instructs General Loctuck to apologize to the bankers due to his illness. Loctuck informs them that Mahal is not ready to accept the proposed draft. Meanwhile, an associate of Alexander urgently implores him to persuade Pauai to reconsider the general's announcement. Alexander makes vague assurances to help and dispatches Sinclair to Chicago to manage the situation.
