The primary distinction among these states lies in the movement of atoms. Atoms possess energy, and the greater the energy, the faster they move. In ice, atoms are nearly stationary, while liquid water allows atoms to glide freely, making it pourable. In contrast, the atoms in water vapor zip around quickly, floating in the air along with other gases.
