Julia and Suzanne's trip to Japan takes an unexpected turn when they learn their mother has traveled to Paris to care for a sick friend. To make matters worse, the sisters find themselves victims of a robbery, losing both their luggage and money. Back home, Anthony and Mary Jo grapple with a hefty telephone bill after they enthusiastically participate in a television poll, leading to unintended consequences.
