Episode Overview
From the Shadow Realm, the Shadowmaster reaches out to the Ancient Spirits of Evil, revealing that he captured Claudus, Lion-O's father, just before Thundera's destruction. In a troubling dream, he shows Lion-O his father in captivity and dares him to confront him. Lion-O uses the Book and Sword of Omens to enter the Shadow Realm, ready to battle the Shadowmaster as long as the Sword remains connected to the book. However, a massive bat is dispatched to snatch the Sword away, leaving Lion-O weakened. Sensing a shift in loyalty from the ASOE, Mumm-Ra sends Ma-Mutt to retrieve the Sword and return it to the book. With renewed power, Lion-O calls for the Sword, rescues Claudus, and banishes the Shadowmaster. Claudus departs, but in a touching moment, he and Jaga appear together in a ghostly blue form, leaving Lion-O with two guiding spirits.
