Dai and his companions have suffered a crushing loss. The Holy Mother Dragon has taken Dai, while Hyunckel and Crocodine are nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Popp and Maam find themselves stranded on a beach in the Carl Kingdom. As they regain their bearings, they discover that Vearn has launched his assault on the Surface World.
