When a fire destroys Arthur's house, he takes refuge with the Findlays, quickly wearing out Maude's patience. Arthur keeps Walter awake through the night with card games and assigns Florida extra chores, all while demanding that Maude cook his meals to his specifications. Frustrated with his antics, Maude eventually pressures Walter to kick Arthur out of their home.
