In a twist, Debailly opts to compromise Nadim by falsifying his asylum request, leading to his defection while Nadia is relocated to a secure location. Meanwhile, Debailly and Dr. Balmes uncover a listening device in her office, prompting the CIA to suspend Dr. Balmes from their operations. In parallel, the French are on the verge of recruiting Zamani as an informant, only to discover he has just joined forces with the CIA. Debailly remains focused on his plan to eliminate the jihadist.
