Clark grows concerned when Lana unexpectedly shows interest in a new classmate and starts behaving recklessly, ultimately getting arrested. His worries deepen when he uncovers that her boyfriend possesses magnetic abilities that manipulate objects and influence feelings. As Clark attempts to liberate Lana from this supernatural grip, she turns hostile and threatens his life. Meanwhile, Lex learns that Chloe is investigating Lionel's history and seeks to ally with her in an effort to confront his father.
