Padma stirs up excitement among the chefs by challenging them to create a Quickfire dish without using any All-Purpose flour. They must instead explore a variety of alternative flours, including Blue Corn, Buckwheat, Coconut, and Hazelnut. The Quickfire Challenge features guest judge and James Beard Award-winning Chef Chris Bianco. Following this, the chefs visit the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall, where they meet renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel, who is gearing up for the LA Philharmonic’s centennial celebration. Dudamel encourages the chefs to view their flavor combinations as harmonizing instruments. In the Elimination Challenge, they prepare a meal for Dudamel and the LA Philharmonic at the acclaimed Otium restaurant, joined by Padma, Tom, Gail, and guest judge Timothy Hollingsworth, a Bocuse d’Or finalist.
