Episode Overview
Ash, May, and Max are on their way to Rustboro City, but they realize they forgot to bring lunch and are starving! While they bicker over the last cookie, Ash reminisces about the delicious meals Brock used to prepare for him and Misty. Just then, a Taillow swoops in and snatches the cookie away, prompting the trio to chase after it. They follow the bird to a grove filled with apple trees, where they eagerly try to shake down some apples. However, they inadvertently disturb a swarm of angry Taillow instead. Outnumbered, the three struggle until Brock suddenly appears, using his Forretress and a delicious soup to help them out. They manage to fend off most of the Taillow, but the cookie thief remains elusive. Ash decides to catch this particularly resilient Taillow rather than defeat it.
