On their way to Fallarbor City, the group encounters a trainer named Max, who bears an uncanny resemblance to their own Max. This new Max is struggling to manage his Surskit, but the original Max feels a strong dislike and distrust toward him. Meanwhile, Team Rocket has their sights set on stealing Max's Surskit. Can both Maxes put aside their differences and work together to safeguard the Surskit from Team Rocket's clutches?
