Episode Overview

Faced with a quarter-life crisis, Nicky Shen, a young Chinese American woman, leaves college behind to embark on a transformative journey to a remote monastery in China. Upon her return to San Francisco, she discovers her city plagued by crime and corruption. Determined to make a difference, Nicky enlists the help of her friends and family while utilizing her martial arts expertise and the principles she learned at Shaolin to defend her community and confront wrongdoers. All the while, she is on the hunt for the ruthless assassin responsible for her mentor Pei-Ling's death, who now has her in their sights.
