Nurse Gladys Emmanuel notices Granville having a tough time with the laundry and insists that Arkwright needs to get a new washing machine. To appease her, Arkwright devises a scheme to make it seem like he's followed her suggestion. He enlists Neville to deliver a new machine, but they sneak around the back of the shop to swap it out, leaving behind an old, used model instead!
