Timmy and Lassie discover a sick burro that has been abandoned by its neglectful yet well-intentioned owners. At first, no one believes Timmy's claims, but everything changes when Ellen stumbles upon the ailing animal. Thanks to Timmy's unwavering belief and the family's dedicated care, they manage to nurse the burro back to health. Just as they celebrate its recovery, the original owners come back looking for their pet.
