Episode Overview
Louis makes Ren late for school on the Friday she needs to prepare her display for Lawrence Junior High's 75th anniversary. She reassures Principal Wexler that it will be finished by Monday. With Wexler out of town, Coach Tugnut takes over as the temporary principal. In gym class, a girl named Chloe, whom Ren barely knows, chats with her too much, leading to both of them getting detention. Ren feels out of place in detention, which is overseen by a dozing teacher and filled with misfits. To her surprise, the ringleader is Louis, who has started a gambling ring with racing hamsters. When Coach Tugnut arrives, they all quickly hide their activities, and while he questions Ren, she chooses not to betray Louis, earning his respect. With time running out, Ren struggles to finish her display. Louis suggests they sneak into the school after hours to help her.
