Episode Overview
Louis discovers a penny while wandering the school grounds, but just as he reaches down to grab it, a scaffolding collapses around him, narrowly missing him. This sparks an incredible streak of luck for Louis: a test he dreaded gets canceled, he wins a free fashion makeover, and even a lost bird finds its way to him. Simultaneously, Ren grows increasingly concerned about Ruby's fixation on the British band BBMak, a sentiment shared by Ruby's friend Nelson. After Ruby pulls an all-nighter trying to win a contest for a chance to meet the band, Ren and Nelson intervene, urging her to let go of her fantasies and focus on someone real. Their talk seems effective, but as Ruby leaves the Stevens' home, she spots the newly-styled Louis and later confesses to Ren that she has a new crush—on Louis! Ren is taken aback and worries about Ruby's feelings for him.
